마르셀 뒤샹은 1900년대 초중반에 활동한 예술가로, 예술사에 있어서 예술을 하는 양식과 보는 양식에 큰 전환이 있게 하였다. 그는 종래의 오브제 중심의 미술에서 탈피하여 오브제와 관자(觀者) 사이에서 동적으로 발생하는 의미를 미술의 가치로써 제시하였다. 그러한 뒤샹의 제안은 다분히 도가적 (道家的) 사고가 그 배경에 있음을 유추할 수 있다. 뒤샹의 예술적 동기와 사고를 짐작할 수 있는 그가 남긴 ``지극히 얇다``라는 뜻의 ``인프라씬``(Infrathin)의 사례들에서 뒤샹이 제시하고자 했던 것은 목적물로서의 예술이 아니라 하나의 예술적 사유방식임을 도출할 수 있다. 이것은 도덕경에 나타나는``현``(玄)자를 풀이하는 방식에 있어서 ``현``은 가물가물하다거나, 어둡고 텅 비었다거나 하는 직설적인 설명 보다, ``현``은 하나의 철학적 사유방식을 말하는 것이라는 주장을 받아들였을 때, 뒤샹의 인프라씬과 도덕경의 ``현``은 하나의 접점을 찾을 수 있다. 본 논문에서 그 접점은 사유적 공간, 또는 데리다가 말하는 ``코라``(Khora)와 같은 것임을 말하고자 한다. ``인프라씬``에서 말하는 지극히 얇다라는 것은 도덕경의 ``묘``(妙)자와 통하여 이들은 공히 ``현``과 같은 하나의 철학적 사유방식을 제시하는 것이라 하겠다.

Marcel Duchamp was an artist in the early half of 1900`s who motivated a big turning point in the art field in terms of styles of making and looking at art works. Away from the conventional object-oriented art, he suggested the different art whose value dynamically emerges in between an art form and a spectator. A sense of Taoism is believed to reside in the background his ideas. The examples of Infrathin, meaning very very thin, that tells the outlines Duchamp`s artistic motivations and thinking suggests that what Duchamp proposed should actually be a style of thinking rather than the objects as an art work. This resembles in the way of interpreting the letter ``Hyun`` in Tao Te Ching in that ``Hyun`` would rather suggest a philosophical way of thinking than it might directly and literally mean vagueness, darkness, and/or emptiness. By accepting this position, we would think that there should exist an overlapping area between the meanings of Duchamp`s Infrathin and ``Hyun`` in Tao Te Ching. This paper suggests that this overlapping area is characterized to be of a space of thinking, or Khora that Derrida mentioned. I criticized that Infrathin, that means very very thin, should be analogical to ``Myo`` in Tao Te Ching, with each suggests a style of philosophical thinking as ``Hyun`` illustrates.
