본 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 온라인에서의 성희롱과 오프라인 성희롱행동을 비교 설명하고자 했다. 이를 위해 음란물접촉 및 가부장가정과 낮은 자기통제력을 독립변인으로 다루고 이 요인들이 어떤 과정을 통해 성희롱에 영향을 주는지를 알기 위해 사회학습요인으로 성희롱친구와의 접촉과 성희롱태도를 매개요인으로 하는 연구모델을 온라인성희롱 및 오프라인성희롱에 적용해 비교하고자 했다. 서울시 재학중인 590명 대학생을 대상으로 분석한 결과 음란물접촉은 온라인 및 오프라인 성희롱에 모두 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐만 아니라 성희롱친구와의 접촉을 통해 간접적으로도 성희롱에 영향을 미치는 것을 제시했다. 그런데 온라인의 경우는 음란물접촉이 온라인성희롱태도를 통해 간접적으로도 온라인성희롱에 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구결과는 가부장가정의 대학생일수록 온라인 및 오프라인에서의 성희롱 가능성도 높다는 것을 제시했다. 그리고 사회학습요인의 매개과정을 보면 오프라인성희롱에서는 가부장가정이 성희롱친구와의 접촉을 통해, 그리고 온라인성희롱에서는 성희롱태도를 통해 영향을 주는 것으로 나타나 차이를 보였다. 본 연구결과 최종 매개요인으로 온라인성희롱에서는 사회학습요인들로 성희롱친구와의 접촉과 성희롱태도 모두가 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으나 오프라인성희롱에서는 성희롱친구와의 접촉만이 유의미했고 성희롱태도의 영향력은 유의미하지 않았다. 본 연구에서 또 다른 독립변인으로 제시한 낮은 자기통제력의 경우는 그 영향이 대체로 낮았다.

This study tests a model to explain college youths’ sexual harassment behavior. In constructing a model for sexual harassment, it includes contact to pornography, patriarchy family environment, and low self-control as independent variables. This study investigates its effect to both online and offline sexual harassment when considering a mediating effect of social learning variables such as peer association and attitude toward sexual harassment. Analyzing 590 college students in Seoul, this study finds that college youths’ contact to pornography has a direct significant effect on both online and offline sexual harassment and it has also an indirect effect on sexual harassment through social learning variables. However, results show that their learning process are different between online and offline sexual harassment. In addition, it is found that the effect of patriarchy family environment is also significant in both online and offline sexual harassment. The effect of patriarchy family environment is mediated by differential association with peers in offline sexual harassment, while its effect is mediated by attitude toward harassment in online case. Result shows that low self-control is not significant. Their implications of results are discussed.
