本稿는 地球溫暖化와 異常氣候現狀 등의 自然破壞로 인한 生態危機意識이 韓國 現代生態小說에는 어떻게 形象化되어 있으며 그 展望은 무엇인가에 대해 硏究한 것이다. 1972年 李文求의 「일락서산」에서 2003年 鄭贊의 「깊은 강」에 이르기까지 總 60편의 生態小說을 對象으로 敍事的 類型과 主題意識을 分析한 結果는 아래와 같다. 첫째, 25편을 對象으로 한 結果 다큐적 特性의 批判·告發意識이 强力하며 生態問題는 곧 社會問題라는 一貫된 主題를 보이고 있다. 둘째, 對象作品은 17편이며 産業化, 近代化의 副作用과 故鄕意識 渴望을 드러내고 있다. 셋째, 10편을 對象으로 都市化에 따른 歪曲된 慾望의 奔出이 後期 情報社會와의 關係에서 具現되었으나 人間의 思考方式과 後期情報社會 構造와의 關聯에서 精密한 分析을 必要로 한다. 넷째, 8편을 對象으로 人間과 自然과의 交感과 疏通, 合一, 有機體的 自然 生命共同體로서의 生物中心主義에 대한 渴望이 드러나 있다.

This study is to investigate how eco-crisis consciousness, due to the destruction of nature, such as a global warming and abnormal weather can be represented in the Korean modern ecological novels, and discover its vision. From 1972, Lee, Mun Ku's < Sunset West Mountain > to 2003, Jeong, Chan's < Deep River >, 60 pieces of novels is analyzed and four major characteristics are described regarding the author's consciousness. First, analyzing 25 pieces of novels, the result illustrates that the documentary traits which is critical consciousness was powerful. In addition, ecologism is consistently regarded as a social problem, which is a main issue. Second, studying 17 pieces of novels, the side effects are discovered such as industrialization and modernization. Also homesick is revealed in the author's consciousness. Therefore, this result suggests the limitation to view changing a reality as pessimistic rather than optimistic to overcome the reality. Third, among 10 pieces of novels, a distorted desire from urbanization is revealed in the post information oriented society. However, it is inevitable to specifically analyze novels, concerning the way of human beings' thinking and the organization of the post information oriented society. Fourth, examining 8 pieces of novels, the craving for the empathy and the understanding each other was revealed in novels between man and nature, as an organic life community. It also manifests the longing for biological centralism. Most of all, it is essential that nouveau roman style and defamiliarization should be required, out of the surface level of documentary characteristics, which is criticism. It also needs to be aware that the literature plays an important role to save global environment and ecological crisis.
