한동안 만들어지지 않았던 특촬물이 최근 다시 활기를 띄고있다. 그중에서도 <레전드히어로 삼국전>은 가장 전형적인 특촬물의 형식을 가지고 있고, 흥행과 평가에서 주목할 만한 성과를 거두었다. 그러나 <레전드히어로 삼국전>의 결과물이 만들어지기까지는 많은 시행착오가 있었을 것이다. 이 시행착오를 크게 세 개의 범주로 나누어 이해할 수 있다. 첫째는 액션 장면의 과부하이다. 극 내내 반복해서 보이는 액션 장면의 분량 자체가 많을 뿐 아니라 마스크와 특수 의상을 입고 진행되는 액션의 난이도 또한 높다. 이로 인해 충실한 액션 연기가 어려워질 뿐 아니라 안전의 문제도 따른다. 둘째는 특수 의상과 소품의 내구성이다. 디자인이나 재질의 선택이 잘못된 경우 격한 액션 장면을 통해 쉽게 상처 나거나 부러질 수 있다. 이와 같은 상황의 반복은 영상 제작 진행 과정에서 많은 차질을 일으켰을 것이다. 마지막은 로봇 전투 장면의 품질이다. 로봇 전투 장면은 섬세한 디테일을 요구하는 컴퓨터 그래픽스 장면과 미니어처 장면으로 이루어졌다. 그러나 예산의 불균형한 배분으로 인해 이 장면의 영상은 품질이 낮게 제작되었고, 이로 인해 전체적인 이야기와 이질감을 보여준다. 이후 특촬물 제작에 임하는 인력들은 특촬물을 전담할 스턴트 배우의 양성, 특수 의상 및 소품의 디자인과 재질의 개선, 제작 단계에서의 예산 계획 등을 통해 제작 진행을 개선할 수 있을 것이다.

Long-dead Korean Tokusatsu series are now in fashion again. < Legend Hero Samkukjeon > is one of the typical Tokusatsu sereis and its successful results are meaningful. But there must have been trials and errors because the production team of this series didn`t have any experience on Tokusatsu. These trials and errors can be devided into three groups. The first one is the overload on action scenes. Portion of action scenes over the whole series are too much and the technical level of the masked action scenes are too high. This lowers the quality of action scenes and causes safety issues. The second one is the durability of special costumes and props. Wrong decisions on design and material of costumes and props will slow down the production because of durability problems. The last one is the quality of action scenes of vehicles and robots. These scenes are made of computer graphics and miniature cinematography which requires big budget. Most of these scenes look shoddy because of the imbalance of budget allocation. The next Tokusatsu series planning could be easier when they learn lessons from these trials and errors.
