본 연구는 고등학교 1학년 학생들의 윤동주 시 감상문을 자료로 윤동주의 시가 학생들의 내면에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 살피고, 윤동주의 시가문학 교육 자료로 적절한지를 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 시감상문을 분석한 후, 핵심적 내용을 바탕으로, `자아 성찰적 삶의 지향`, `삶에 대한 희망과 의지`, `민족공동체 의식과 희생정신 함양`, `시인에 대한 존경심과 창작 의욕 생성`의 네 가지로 나누어 논의하였다. 학생들은 감상문 쓰기를 통해 시의 의미와 주제를 생각하고 그 시를 통해 시인이 말하고자 하는 바를 찾으려 노력하면서, 시에서 읽어낸 시적 화자의 내면에 공감하고 이를 자신의 상황과 연관 지어 삶을 돌아보고 반성하며 새로운 의지를 다지는 모습을 보였다. 또한 일제강점기의 시대상황과 연관지어 시를 이해함으로써 민족공동체 의식을 내면화하였다. 나아가 윤동주 시인의 시적 표현력에 감동하면서 시인에 대한 존경심과 시 창작에 대한 의욕을 갖기도 하였다. 따라서 윤동주 시는 학생들의 내면 의식을 확장시키고 표현력과 창의력, 인간성 함양 등 문학 교육이 추구하는 목표를 이루어낼 수 있는 적절한 문학 교육 자료로서의 가치를 지닌다고 보인다. 다만 그의 시를 문학교육의 제재로 활용함에 있어, 학생 수준에 맞는 작품선정과 학습 목표에 따른 적절한 교육 방법의 적용이 필요하다고 본다.

This study aims at clarifying Yoon Dongjoo poems` effect on students` inner consciousness and their appropriateness as the materials for literature education through 1st grade high school students` book reports on them. After analyzing the book reports, I put at the core four elements; introspection, hope and will of life, national consciousness, respect for the poet and desire for creative writing for studying. While looking for the meanings and the themes of the poems, the students sympathized with the poetic narrator`s feelings and inner consciousness, reflected on their life, connecting it with their surroundings, and showed that they made some new willingness. Moreover the students had respect for the poet and desire for creative writing, impressed by his capacity of expressing. Like these, Yoon`s poems make the students able to get various and abundant literary imagination. So Yoon`s poems can be good materials for literature education, through which students can extend their emotion and consciousness and develop their ability for expressiveness, creativeness and humanity. But when utilizing Yoon`s poems for the literature education, students` levels and educational objects have to be considered to enhance the effectiveness of that.
