본고는 『만엽집(万葉集)』에 나타난 만가(挽歌) 중에 여성가인, 특히 ``오오 키미(女王)``로 불린 황족여성들의 만가를 중심으로 고찰한 것이다. 만엽 제1기의 오오키미 만가는 서정성(敍情性)과 장례(葬禮)를 노래하는 의 례가(儀禮歌)라는 상반된 제재(題材)가 사용되고 었다. 이 시기의 노래는 일본의 기기신화(記紀神話)의 아마노 이와토 신화(天岩戶神話)를 인용하고 있으며, 천 황에 대한 만가가 처음으로 등장하는 시기이다. 제2기는 도읍지에서 멀리 떨어진 타지에 묻힌 남성의 죽음을, 신화의 내용을 기반으로 하여 시간 순으로 기술하고 있다. 주 내용은 장의(葬儀), 소생(蘇生)에 대한 노력, 체념 등이다. 제2기는 제1기와 마찬가지로 신화의 세계를 인용하고 있지만, 죽음을 면하기 위한 제의(祭儀)를 노래함으로써 그 애상(哀傷)을 더 아 련하고 애절하게 표현하고 있는 점이 제1기와 다른 점이다. 반면, 제3기와 제4기는 원통한 죽음을 맞이한 역사적 인물 나가야노 오오키 미(長屋王)와 그 주변인물에 대한 만가이다. 그 노래는 각 1수뿐이지만, 특기할 만한 점은 제1기와 제2기의 오오키미 만가와는 전혀 다른 애상가라는 점이다. 이 시기에 남성 가인들은 망처만가(亡妻挽歌)라는 사적인 세계를 전개하였는데, 이러한 것과는 대조적이라고 말 할 수 있다.

This is the study aims to analyze the Manyeopjip Elegy on female songs, especially on the elegy of royal concubines called ``Oohkimi (女王). In the first Ookimi Elegy in the Manyeop, in oppose to other ritual singing which bases the songs on lyrical elegy (敍情性) and funeral (葬禮), the sanctions (題材) was used in the song. The songs in this period cite mythology of Amanoiwato (天岩 戶神話) in Japanese Kojiki (記紀神話). Also, this is the period that the emperor appeared for the first time in the songs. In the second period, the song is about a death of man who is buried far away from the capital, based on the myth, in chronological order. Although the second period song is similar to the first song in that both of them cite mythical contents, these two songs are different that second one expresses more mournfully on the sorrow (哀傷) by singing formal offer (神儀) to avoid death. On the other hand, in the periods of 3 and 4, the elegy is on the Oohkimi (長屋王), a historial figure who died in bitterness, and the people around her. There are only on song, however, it is important to note that the song is completely contradictory from the songs from the period 1 and 2. The songs contradicts that the male singers in this period unfold the MangcheonManga(亡妻挽歌), a song on the ruined family with dead wife.
