이 논문은 2012~2014년 북한문학에 나타난 김정은의 형상을 분석하는 것을 목 적으로 한다. 『조선문학』, 『문학신문』에 실린 문학작품의 문헌 고찰과 담론 분석을 통해 김정은의 지도자적 면모와 북한체제의 특징 일단을 파악하고자 하였다. 그 결 과 연륜과 통치 경험이 일천한 청년 지도자가 ‘정권’을 안정시키고 ‘체제’를 유지하 는 데 성공하여 ‘시대’를 구가하게 되었다고 보았다. 가령 「영원한품」, 「12월의 그 이. 「하모니카」 등의 수령 형상 소설을 보면 일종의 창작패턴이 확인된다. 즉 통치 행위, 언론 보도, 문학작품, 그에 대한 비평이 연계되어 있다. 이는 ‘행위-보도-창작- 비평-역사’라는 수령형상문학의 전형적인 창작 기제가 작동된 것으로, 김일성, 김정 일의 전례를 따른 것이다. 그러나 작품 주인공인 수령이 무갈등·무오류의 절대자라 는 ‘수령론’과, 체제 유지와 통치에 군대가 필수라는 ‘선군사상’에 강박된 점을 지적 하지 않을 수 없다. 이런 점에서 김정은을 형상화한 소설은 ‘신화로 퇴행한 역사’라는 혐의로부터 자유롭지 않다. 그가 별다른 투쟁과 건설의 성과 없이 영웅과 위인으로 이미지메이킹될 때 그 신화는 화석화되거나 환멸 대상으로 전락할 것이다. 문학 속의 청년 지도자가 약속한 이상사회가 구체적으로 실현되지 않는다면, 김정은 체제 의 안정성은 여전히 회의의 대상으로 남을 뿐이다.

The objective of this study was to analyze the image of Kim Jeong-Eun reflected in the North Korean literature in the period between 2012 and 2014. Specifically, this study intended to examine the unique characteristics of North Koran system and leadership of Kim Jeong-Eun based on literature study and analysis of discourses with respect the literary works published in Joseon Literature and Literature Newspaper. The results showed that the young leader who does not have adequate experience and ruling track records successfully achieved the stability of the regime and maintained the system, ushering in a new era. For example, a kind of creation pattern is observed in the Leader embodiment novel, such as Permanent Dream, The Man of December, Harmonica, etc. In other words, the ruling behavior, media reports, literary works, and critiques thereof are interrelated. They are built on the typical creation mechanism of the Leader embodiment literature revolving around the cycle of ‘action . report . creation . critiques . history’, which follows the precedent of Kim Ill-Sung and Kim Jeong-Ill. However, the obsessive adherence to the theory of absolute conflict-free and fault-free Leader, the main character of literary works, cannot be overlooked, along with the military-first ideology that the military has an essential role in the maintenance of system and governance. In that respect, the novels embodying Kim Jeong-Eun are not free from the accusation that they represent the history retrogressing to legend. The legend will be fossilized or relegated to an object of disillusion if he is portrayed as a hero and great man even without much struggle and nation-building achievement. The skepticism will continue to cloud the prospects for Kim Jeong-Eun regime`s stability if the ideal society envisioned by the young leader in literatures is not specifically achieved.
