대학 교양수업에서 교수자가 영상물을 활용하는 것은 학습자의 학습효과를 높이는 방법 중 하나라 할 수 있다. 그 예로 문학과 영화의 연계를 고려해 볼 수 있다. 영화는 문학을 기반으로 발달한 현대의 문화종으로서 유구한 역사를 간직하고 있는 문학과는 활자매체와 영상매체라는 차이점을 제외하고는 많은 면에서 유사점을 갖고 있다. 따라서 두 장르의 연계는 학습자의 흥미와 공감을 불러올 수 있다. 본고에서 다룬 작품은 폴커 슐렌도르프의 영화 <양철북>과 문정희의 시 감자로서 두 작품이 독립적으로 존재했을 때보다 연계했을 때 두 작품에 대한 학습자의 이해도 및 공감대 형성이 높을 수 있음을 밝히는 것이 본고의 목적이다. 교수자는 영화 <양철북>과 시 감자 의 영향관계를 제시함으로써 두 작품의 연계가 가능함을 설명하고 두 작품의 주제의식을 비교하여 분석함으로써 두 장르의 연계가 주는 상생효과를 피력할 수 있다. 두 작품은 주제면에서 유사점과 상이점을 드러내고 있다. 유사점으로는 모성의 숭고함을 강조한 것이고 상이점으로는 <양철북>이 독일인의 소시민성을 고발했다면 감자 는 전쟁의 무가치함에 목소리를 높이고 있다. 학습자는 두 작품의 비교 고찰을 통해 두 장르의 영향관계를 이해하고 작가의 목적의식에 따라 작품의 주제의식이 달라질 수 있음에 공감하여 두 장르의 연계가 주는 학습효과의 극대화를 경험할 수 있다.

Today is an image age. The importance of an image is bigger and bigger in politics, economy, culture and education. In this paper an image means the mass media such as TV, movie, internet and so on. Especially the media is the very useful in learning and teaching. So the teachers make good use of the media in schools. I think that Mun Jeong-hui`s poem, Gamja is written on the basis of Volker Schlondorff`s movie, The Tin Drum. To understand the poem, Gamja correctly, we have to appreciate the movie, The Tin Drum. That is, the movie is a help to learn the poem. I tried to see adoration of motherhood, human eternity and opposition to war in Gamja, Because I think These themes are necessary to build up our values including to the students` values, As you know, Mun emphasizes mother`s love in her poem, Gamja, Schlondorff`s movie, The Tin Drum also shows mother`s love by grandmother`s four lined skirt. But the theme of two works is a little different. The former represents maternity itself at largely but the latter shows maternity, war (the Second World War), and love. The key words of Mun`s poem are maternity and opposition to war. Needless to say, maternity implies opposition to war. Though the first key word is mother`s love and the second key word is opposition to war, a warning of the danger of war is necessary to us in view of the situation of the world. The aim of poem education is that the students both understand beauty and are open minded through the poems. And these mental functions are impossible without imagination. Therefore imagination is very important in poem education. Another aim of poem education is that the students improve the present bad situation and dream of the better situation, the wonderful world through the poems. To the conclusion, I think the students not only understand sublime beauty of maternity but also criticize the human`s selfishness and the destruction of war. Gunter W. Grass`s Die Blechtrommel, Schlondorff`s The Tin Drumand Mun`s Gamja are connected one another on the themes and these connections make up for the weak points of the three works. I hope that the students are interested in these three works and they learn a good lesson and pleasure in them. When they do it, my paper is to obtain extra aim except its main aim, Schlondorff`s The Tin Drumis a help to understanding of Mun`s Gamja.
