이 논문의 목적은 문학치료학(文學治療學)의 학문적 특성을 밝히고, 인문학(人文學)의 새로운 전망을 제시하는 데 있다. 논의의 초점은 진단과 예측과 대처에 맞추었다. 논의의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문학치료학의 핵심은 작품서사(作品敍事)와 자기서사(自己敍事)이다. 작품의 바탕에 작품서사가 있고 삶의 바탕에 자기서사가 있다. 그런데 작품서사와 자기서사는 서로 영향을 주고받는다. 이러한 사실에 주목함으로써 문학치료학은 진단(診斷)과 예측(豫測)과 대처(對處)가 가능한 학문이 된다. 둘째, 문학치료학이 지금까지의 문학연구와 크게 다른 점은 논의의 초점을 상상(想像)에서 서사(敍事)로 옮긴 데 있다. 상상에 초점을 맞추게 되면 진단과 예측과 대처는 가능하지 않으나, 서사에 초점을 맞추게 되면 가능한 일이 되는 것이다. 셋째, 역사학이 진단과 예측과 대처가 가능한 학문이 되려면 초점을 사실(事
實)에서 서사(敍事)로 옮겨야 한다. 넷째, 철학이 진단과 예측과 대처가 가능한 학문이 되려면 초점을 사고(思考) 에서 서사(敍事)로 옮겨야 한다. 다섯째, 문학치료학의 서사(敍事)를 도입하면 문학연구와 역사학과 철학은 상상(想像)과 사실(事實)과 사고(思考)를 서로서로 공유하고 소통할 수 있는 길이 열리면서 급속한 학문 발전을 도모할 수가 있다.
The purpose of this paper is to reveal the scientific characteristics of literary therapeutics and the new prospects of humanities. The focus is the possibility of diagnosis, prediction, and dealing with. The results of this paper are as follows. First, the kernels of literary therapeutics are the epic of literary work and the epic of self. A literary work is based on the epic of literary work, and a life is based on the epic of self. The epic of literary work and the epic of self give and take influences mutually. Paying attention to these, literary therapeutics became a science of diagnosis, prediction, and dealing with. Second, unlike literary researches literary therapeutics moved the focus from imagination to epic. If we are focusing on imagination, diagnosis, prediction, and dealing with are not possible works, but if we are focusing on epic, these are possible works. Third, in order to become the science of diagnosis, prediction, and dealing with, the historical science must move the focus from fact to epic. Fourth, in order to become the science of diagnosis, prediction, and dealing with, philosophy must move the focus from thought to epic. Fifth, through introducing the epic of literary therapeutics, literary researches, the historical science, and philosophy will share imagination, fact, and thought. By that way humanities will grow rapidly.
