비록 그 수가 많지는 않지만 대구ㆍ경북여성들은 1919년 3ㆍ1운동에 참여하였다. 도시지역인 대구에서는 여학교 단위의 3ㆍ1운동이 전개되면서, 교사와 학생들이 만세운동의 주도층으로 등장하였다. 그리고 종교적으로는 기독교계 여성들의 참여가 두드러진다는 특징을 보인다. 특히 남편이나 一家 전체가 만세시위에 참여하자, 여성들도 함께 참여한 사례도 있다. 한편 양반가의 여성으로 3ㆍ1운동에 참여한 김락과 남자현의 경우는 가족이 항일투쟁에 참여한 前史를 가지고 있다는 특징을 보였다. 또한 대구출신의 기생으로 서울에서 3ㆍ1운동에 참여한 정칠성과 같은 인물도 있다. 3ㆍ1운동에 참여한 경험은 이후 항일투쟁과 여성운동에도 영향을 주었다. 3ㆍ1운동에 참여한 남자현은 만주로 망명하여, 무장항일투쟁과 의열 투쟁을 전개하였다. 한연순과 김정희 등도 꾸준히 활동을 이어갔으며, 정칠성은 사회주의 여성해방론을 수용하고 여성운동을 이어갔다. 이들의 무대는 출신 지역과 국내를 포함하여, 만주와 일본으로 그 공간이 확대 되었다. 또한 이들의 영향으로 대구ㆍ경북지역에 여성단체들이 출현하였다. 이처럼 대구·경북지역에서도 3ㆍ1운동은 1920년대 이후 여성들의 운동에 영향을 주었다.

Han Yeon-soon and Kim Jung-hee also continued their activities, while Jeong Chil-sung accepted the idea of liberating socialist women and continued his activities. As such, the March 1 Independence Movement has affected women's activities since the 1920s. In addition, women's groups appeared throughout North Gyeongsang Province. As such, the March 1 Independence Movement in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province has influenced women's movements since the 1920s.
